Please send inquiries or your resume to : Pam Cole, [email protected] Position Summary: Senior ColdFusion Application Engineer Serves as a senior computer specialist in the design, development, enhancement, implementation, and production support. Primary Responsibilities: Design and develop a major subsystem/component. Integrate work with other computer specialists and functional specialists to design necessary interfaces and coordinate common requirements. Design and create internal program structures of files and records and appropriate database components and determines detail sequence of actions in program/database logic. Integrate applications with our enterprise service bus and business partners. Analyze functional specifications and designs appropriate subsystems and components for integration within the overall system. Prepares technical program specifications based on these requirements and investigates feasibility of alternate design approaches. Assure that all applicable supporting documentation and file/programs are developed. Modify systems based on approved change request and problem reports. Perform structured unit testing prior to code migration to the formal testing environments. Submits test results to the Government. Assist in the technical evaluation of the effectiveness and efficiency of new technology and procedures. Required Skills: Substantive technical knowledge, experience, skills, and abilities common to the analysis, design, and development of large automated data processing systems, particularly as they relate to a web application environment. Comprehensive knowledge of ColdFusion characteristics, capabilities, limitations, and constraints; comprehensive knowledge of application programming; comprehensive understanding of, and ability to use, a J2EE environment; and a comprehensive of the techniques and procedures for programming, prototyping, analysis and documentation. Comprehensive knowledge of ColdFusion, JavaScript, HTML and Oracle Database Management System. Technical authority in the analysis and design of major subsystems/components. This knowledge is used in the planning, analysis, and design of new system capabilities and researching and resolving critical developmental and testing problems that require innovative approaches and techniques to be utilized in system design. Substantive knowledge of existing processes and methodologies of payroll and personnel systems desirable. Ability to research new ADP techniques, software packages, hardware enhancements, and advanced programming techniques to improve the efficiency. Extensive skill using a large variety of hardware, system software, and operating system tools in an Oracle environment. Ability to analyze user requirements and to design and develop effective and efficient system/subsystem designs and software to accommodate defined needs.
