This person should have a solid grounding in development CF9 with an equally strong background in HTML/XHTML, CSS, JavaScript and MySQL. You should be able to demonstrate that you have independently completed and deployed several projects in a production environment. Your work history should provide evidence of a persistent desire to learn more and the ability to master new technologies quickly. The person we select will work closely with our senior programmer in developing and maintaining web applications. Your time will be divided between maintenance and refactoring of existing code, extension of existing code, and development of new web applications. Because we are a small shop, a fraction of your time will be taken up with server management and routine system and network maintenance, DNS and email account management, and evaluation of new technology. You will also be working with members of our customer service team in diagnosing problems and reviewing the results of their quality assurance. You may occasionally be called upon to assist our customers directly. Required Personal Attributes: This position requires strong powers of logic and analysis, business writing ability and good telephone skills. Your work habits should include strong attention to detail, pride in your work and a drive to complete your work in a timely manner. Above all, you should be good at working openly and cooperatively with others while steadfastly pursuing your own completion goals. However, we will consider candidates who would prefer to limit their commitment to 30 hours per week. Location: We would prefer to find someone within 30 minutes commuting distance of Claremont who could work on-site at least 4 days a week.
