For our in house IT department, we are looking for a Coldfusion Application Developer. The preferred candidate will be a self-starter who works well in a team environment understanding requirements and producing results. Strong communication skills are a must. Other duties may be assigned. ââ¬Â¢ Designs and develops new product enhancements for enterprise web applications for internal and external customers. ââ¬Â¢ Participates in all phases of the software development lifecycle. ââ¬Â¢ Creates prototypes and technical specifications (user stories) for software projects. ââ¬Â¢ Works collaboratively with business analysts, testers, business stakeholders and other IT groups to develop and implement business applications. ââ¬Â¢ Takes ownership of assigned development projects from design through production implementation. ââ¬Â¢ Works as a member of a highly collaborative development team. ââ¬Â¢ Assists in project planning and application design. ââ¬Â¢ Applies technical expertise and knowledge to create software solutions to web-based development problems. ââ¬Â¢ Conceptualizes long-term needs of application development, and plans and manages related projects. ââ¬Â¢ Makes suggestions for on-going process improvements and technical standards for specific applications and the company as a whole.. Qualifications: ââ¬Â¢ Highly proficient in ColdFusion including the use of CFCs and MVC frameworks. ââ¬Â¢ Strong proficiency in web programming skills including developing modern web applications using JavaScript frameworks; jQuery, JavaScript, XML, HTML, AJAX, CSS, SOAP. ââ¬Â¢ Solid understanding of SQL, including stored procedures. ââ¬Â¢ Understanding of database design and performance issues, especially query optimization. ââ¬Â¢ Flexible and able to work well in a dynamic, open, team-oriented environment. ââ¬Â¢ Able to trouble shoot issues and multi-task. ââ¬Â¢ Experience with version control products, team uses GitHub. ââ¬Â¢ Effectively able to communicate with non-technical users. ââ¬Â¢ Demonstrated experience in exceeding customer expectations. ââ¬Â¢ Minimum of 5 years web application development experience. ââ¬Â¢ 3+ years current ColdFusion and SQL experience. ââ¬Â¢ Experience with Agile development a plus. ââ¬Â¢ Experience and knowledge with Applicant Tracking systems a plus. ââ¬Â¢ BA/BS in Computer Science IS, or Science Preferred.
