POSITION: Database Developer LOCATION: Piscataway, New Jersey (local candidates only, no telecommute) DESCRIPTION: Position will be responsible for building ad-hoc reports for sales, finance, and other departments and support database infrastructure on SQL 2005 as well as analyze Oracle ERB Application for Data Warehouse. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: ⢠Expert ability to design and execute complex queries and reports in SQL and/or Oracle Assist development team with internal database design to support web applications ⢠Establish standards for configuring databases and monitor adherence. ⢠Day to day production support for SQL including checking daily logs, backup/recovery procedures, disaster recovery, periodic maintenance. ⢠Implementation of monitoring tools ⢠Ability to work with a Data Warehouse ⢠Design, write or re-engineer database scripts to enhance functionality of system ⢠SQL server instance upgrades, Cloning, Patching, Performance Tuning, Server-level Tuning, Maintenance Support, Tablespace Management, DB Maintenance ⢠Perform upgrades and hardware installs ⢠Work closely with other departments in the definition, implementation and deployment of new initiatives. ⢠Provide off-hours support for various database servers when needed.
