The goal of our company and application is to increase efficiencies in athletic organizations by leveraging the latest technologies to improve collaboration, communication and analysis of data. Our application is used daily by coaches and athletes at top collegiate and professional athletic organizations around the country, and your contributions would have a direct impact on the workflows of these organizations. We are a small and informal but fast-paced team that likes to have fun while delivering impactful solutions. Responsibilities: * Produce code in a timely manner that is reliable, scalable and secure. * Collaborate on technical vision and direction for application and integration with other systems or devices. * Provide input on refining the entire SDLC including requirements, source control and deployment. * Assist in managing and troubleshooting system infrastructure. Qualifications Required: * 4+ years of web development experience in any language; ColdFusion or other Java technology is preferable. * Experience with object-oriented programming and methodologies including common design patterns. * Familiarity with relational database systems and SQL. * Knowledge of MVC framework concepts. * Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JavaScript; experience with jQuery even better. Preferable: * Experience with TDD and unit testing. * Experience with enterprise/SaaS applications and related concepts such as message queues, caching, and service-oriented architecture. * Knowledge of Agile concepts and methodologies. * Experience with scalability concepts and strategies. * Experience with Linux operation systems and Apache and management of those systems. * Experience developing REST-based APIs This is a full-time position, and you would be expected to either live in the Triangle area or be close enough to spend most of your time at our office located in Durham, NC.
