Position Title:  Jr. Web Application Developer
Position Type: Full-time, exempt (minimum of 40 hours/week)
Job Location: This is a telecommuting position, until otherwise changed by
Quality Matters¬
Reports to: Chief Information Officer / Director of Technology

Goals:
- To support implementation of the strategic goals and objectives of the 
Quality Matters¬ Program, as defined by the MOL Board of Directors, through 
the support and coordination of all Quality Matters Information Technology 
initiatives.
- To support Quality Matters leaders toward the achievement of the Quality 
Matters Program's philosophy, mission, strategy, and its annual goals and 
objectives.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in system troubleshooting, maintenance, configuration management, 
performance monitoring and new feature development critical to the 
functionality of multiple web-based applications
- Support senior web application development staff to:
- Enhance and maintain existing enterprise ColdFusion applications
o Test and debug application features and provide full development life-cycle 
support
- Work collaboratively and cooperatively with other developers and system 
administrators on web application integration tasks and projects
- Communicate progress and recommendations to IT management and participate in 
weekly team meetings
- Collaborate as a member of the Quality Matters Team
o Coordinate and cooperate with Quality Matters staff to ensure the Program and 
its mission, programs, products and services are consistently presented in a 
strong, positive image to relevant stakeholders.
o Participate in weekly staff meetings ╨ from a distance or in-person as 
determined by Quality Matters Director
o Attend in-person QM conferences and any required organizational or planning 
meetings

Technology Proficiencies Required:
- Strong hands-on knowledge of ColdFusion 8/9/10
- Hands-on experience with SQL, MySQL
- Solid understanding of XHTML, CSS, AJAX, XML and JavaScript
- Ability to code Web 2.0 standard-compliant pages
- Strong debugging / QA skills
- Windows Server experience
- Adobe Developer Certification preferred
- Mobile application development experience preferred

Qualifications:
- A bachelor degree in Computer Science or related discipline
- Two years experience developing and supporting enterprise ColdFusion 
applications
- Must be a self-starter with the ability to independently manage workload
- Must work well with other developers, technical and non-technical staff
