We are currently seeking a qualified candidate to fill the open position of Senior Systems Analyst/ColdFusion Developer. This position can be located in Overland Park, KS, Waterloo, IA or can be virtual/home-based. A qualified candidate is required to have a Bachelorââ¬â¢s Degree and a minimum of 10 years ColdFusion programming experience. This position is responsible for providing complex database driven web based application development for Shortââ¬â¢s Travel Management and our clients. Additionally, this position is responsible for support of current applications, training end users, and general application maintenance. The selected candidate will conduct systems analysis to determine the best and most effective methods to create and support both internal and external business needs including, but not necessarily limited to IT applications, portals, websites, and reporting. Flexibility to travel as needed for job related assignments and project implementations will be required. Computer Skills: ââ¬Â¢Â   A minimum of 10 years object oriented ColdFusion experience is required. ââ¬Â¢Â   Past experience in a scrum and/or agile development environment is a plus. ââ¬Â¢Â   Strong understanding of databases (SQL Server) and entity relationships. ââ¬Â¢Â   Knowledge of FW/1, Coldspring, Coldbox, Wirebox, etc is a plus. ââ¬Â¢Â   Skills in database management and technical applications support. ââ¬Â¢Â   Additional skills are a plus. (HTML5, XML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, AngularJS, etc) ââ¬Â¢Â   Visual Basic and/or .Net knowledge is also a plus. Essential Functions: ââ¬Â¢Â   Demonstrates proficient technical skills and abilities for new development, maintenance and support of database systems, portal management, GDS and online booking products. ââ¬Â¢Â   Interfaces with business users to gather and define requirements, documentation, design, testing, and the implementation of software solutions. ââ¬Â¢Â   Identifies solutions to address business objectives/problems including custom and/or packaged solutions. ââ¬Â¢Â   Capable of effectively communicating with all functional groups and levels within the organization. ââ¬Â¢Â   Develops strong understanding of the business model and overall strategy of the organization. ââ¬Â¢Â   Provides on-going training and support to functional teams beyond implementation.
