When you re-installed, did you delete the original, including all of its
directories? It sounds like the 'CF' account does not have permission to
access it's own files. Also, check for /tmp/cfserver this file is the socket
file, and should not exist if coldfusion is not running. When CF is running,
it should be owned by the account CF is running under.
Why was it installed to run as root in the first place? The default install
runs as 'nobody'.
