Hi Jesse, thank you for your instant reply and your help.
I think I did make two mistakes:
One mistake was misusing of the MAKE command to produce the
mod_coldfusion.so-file.
And the other was that I installed CF in another directory other than /opt
I did take /coldfusion
The server couldn't start, because he did have a permission-problem on
accessing a file in the registry-directory.
I removed the old installation and reinstalled it in the default directory.

Now it works like a charm.

Just one line I would like to change in your paper because I assume that the
EAPI is released in the apache which is delivered in the distribution of
SuSE Linux 6.3
and higher:
