I've spent a few hours looking for CFX tutorials on Linux, and ANYTHING
related to CFX and linux and have come up pretty empty handed.
Although it would incredibly rock, I don't think you can write a CFX in
perl. I have played around some with the C++ library that ships with CF 4.5
for linux and made some little "hello world" type programs - but my knowlege
of C++ is not yet sufficient to produce a tag to create zip files. My best
suggestion would be to get the source code for gzip from gnu.org and compile
it into a tag. But it would be super easy to just hand the job of to a shell
script like you mentioned.
