Thanks for you suggestions. I've implemented them, and found another
sollution I really like!
There's a program called WOTS (I found it at freshmeat.net) that's a little
deamon that sleeps for a few minutes, then wakes up and does a regex search
on your log files and will email you or spawn another process as a result of
a match.
I would encourage anyone to check it out,
