Thanks Matt. An interesting discussion on library versioning. Not
quite what I was looking for.
The problem ColdFusion has is with the Red Hat stdc++ library not being
available *and named the same* on other distributions. This wouldn't be
quite so bad if they (Red Hat) hadn't named it libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so,
but rather the more generic name libstdc++.so.
Linking statically (against a .a file) is, I think, the best solution
for removing this irritating dependency on Red Hat.
