For what it is worth I have had good luck with SmartList which is part of
ProcMail.

Majordomo seems to be a well established standard for mailling list
management. It's as pretty as other stuff out there, there is also a web
inteface called MajorCool that can be used as a front end. It's not written
in CF but I thought I'd throw it out there just in case you hadn't heard of
it yet.
