I'm working on a box that someone else set-up for me. I munged the install
and need to get it back running and need some advice.
Here is what I have. RD 6.2 apache, CF 4.5.1, and the db is mysql.
Now on the pre-munged install I had a driver called myodbc... It is not
there now but I do have Merant Mysql driver. I have a DB called stories. I
want to created a datasource so I add one with the Merant and it does not
work:< I thought maybe because the passwd was wrong. Well whne I try to
change the passwd it reverts back to a 9 charactor passwd and will not
allow any changes at all.
Here are the issues I need help with.
1. Does the Merant Mysql driver really work?
2. If I want the myodbc driver do I simply run the rpm and it will show
up? Doe I need to tell CF where it is?
3. Anyone seen this nasty password issue?
4. does CF have a mind of its own and just hate me?
