If you're getting a kernel panic it's certainly not ColdFusion's fault.
No application should be able to cause such an action. It's one of a few
things:
a) Invalid kernel settings for your hardware
b) Bad hardware
c) A genuine bug in the kernel, probably due to an odd hardware
configuration.
