hi, I would like to temporarily enlarge the buffer size for postgres text fie lds in unixodbc.
The source code, defines TEXT_FIELD_SIZE 8190 and mallocs up to this 8190 +5, even if now postgres supports dynamically growing text fields, as already pointed out. I wonder why it's 8190 and not 8192 (so, should I enlarge to 16382 or to 16384? Or to 16380?). What are these 2 bytes for? I was thinking about a fixed header into postgres file structure. Am I ri ght? I realize the question sounds and is silly, but as a C programmer I'm jus t an hobbyist. -- Rd "Quando vedi la luna circondata da un alone, c' un re che viaggia da q ualche parte in quel chiarore." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Your ad could be here.
