Red Hat is saying, "Put Red Hat on the computers and use the money you would
have put torward software and give the schools more computers".  If MS
refuses, then the schools won't get as many computers.  Then it's all over
the media that MS only cares about their buck and not the schools.  I bet MS
will come up with some incompatibility thing with Red Hat and say they can't
do it.

I don't know that they would look bad in refusing such an offer. What
company in their right mind would pay to have a competitors product
installed for the next generation of users.
