Hi

What your are missing is compat-2001.5.10-2

Install this and you will have the right stdc++ lib for CF

(SuSE does not install this one per default)

The question abnout /home vs. /opt is a question of taste.
I hate things installed in /opt and I think /home is the right place
for things which go beyond a normal linux installation.

If you have every third party product in /home and in /usr or /opt
only things coming with your distribution you can forget the backup for
/usr and /opt.

Bye
