>I wanna know where you work! www.digiserve.ie IrishAbroad is hosted in Virginia on Windows/IIS/ASP/CF, all the other sites are in Dublin on Linux with core components developed for AOLServer/ADP/Tcl and lots of other bits 'n' bobs running under apache and written in either CF or PHP, oh, and redhat interchange. The only reason we developed a method of exchanging member and session info between a client server was because trying to port IrishAbroad from Windows/IIS/ASP/CF/SQLServer to Linux/AOLServer/Tcl/Oracle was even more of a headache. Information is only exchanged in one direction at the moment - posted to AOLServer from IIS. The ASP application on IrishAbroad authenticates itself with AOLServer on start (a challenge-response type authentication) and then posts xml data over SSL as required for the duration of the session. There is a scheduled CF script on the IrishAbroad side to do the cleaning.
