This may be a little off-topic, because the problem may not be
with CF and Linux, but any help/ideas would be appreciated...
I'm running a development server with CF5 and Red Hat
6.2. I have a cron job that tars up some files nightly, and a ColdFusion
scheduled task that is supposed to FTP the files off to another server.
The FTP process is failing with Error Code 2 and message No
response from server. I know the scheduled task is running because I get
an email every morning as part of the scheduled task telling me that the FTP
failed. Coldfusion is running as user coldfusion. I can manually FTP
the files off the machine as both root and coldfusion user. I set up a
test ftp page - I seem to be able to create a connection to the other server
(action = "open"), but when I try to do anything with that connection, such as
listing files or putting a file, I get "no response from server".
The external server in question is running NT.
I am particularly stumped because I have this exact same
procedure running on another linux dev server (running redhat 7, CF5), and I've
had it running on the same redhat 6.2 server before (it has since been wiped and
reinstalled - this time the server is significantly patched.) I've never
had to do anything special to get things going - just a standard Coldfusion
install, coldfusion running as user coldfusion, etc.
Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Nikki
