ok, so, you uninstalled, and then reinstalled, what distro are you running on?

you dropped it to single threaded execution to make sure it was not locking, there 
isn't something really from an administraion standpoint given your config that should 
cause issues (depending on the distro question).

More than likely, it is going to be something in the application itself, not 
nessecarily locking.
