you want to edit the start script and replace the line: env -i $ENV_LIST $CFHOME/bin/cfexec
with env -i $ENV_LIST strace -ff -o /tmp/dump $CFHOME/bin/cfexec /tmp will have a VERY large number of dump files, but you can find the one that went south. Oh yeah, disable JRun and CFrds if you want fewer dump files.
