No need to apologize, but you'd be better off posting it to cf-server or
cf-talk than cf-linux, I suspect.

1. What type of databases are you trying to connect to?

2. Are your two CF ODBC services running? I ran into a problem where I
couldn't connect to MS Access databases, because I couldn't start these two
services. The solution in that case was to uninstall CF MX, delete the
CFusionMX directory, and reinstall CF MX - some software I'd subsequently
installed had apparently killed these services.

That's what the "ODBC Socket" option is for. It's a generic ODBC connector.
You'd need to create an ODBC datasource, then create an ODBC Socket
datasource in CF MX that points to the actual ODBC datasource, I think.

I'd recommend dumping Foxpro first, myself.
