Is there a driver available to interface MS-Access to CFMX on
non-windows?

If not, would the JDBC-ODBC bridge work.

I don't want to use MS-Access as an online database, i just want to use
it as a source/destination for a more robust database.

Many clients use MS-Access offline to create and maintain their data --
When they contract for a web site, it would be natural to interface the
mdb files in CFMX to build a corresponding online database.

Conversely, the need exists to periodically dump portions of an online
db (today's orders, for example) into a mdb file for use offline.

I know there are other ways to do this, but a direct CFMX-MSAccess
interface would be the cleanest (from the application perspective).

I am surprised that Macromedia did not include a MS-Access interface in
the Linux version -- since MS-Access is so ubiquitous, the requirement
to use it as defined above is quite common.

Any ideas?

TIA

Dick
