I have PostgreSQL working on the Mac OS X port of Linux CFMX , using  
the same driver.

I renamed the jar to postgresql.jar

I put a copy of this jar in /Library/Java/Extensions -- this is  
necessary on OS X for the Mac OS X jre to find the driver

Then you have to start postgre

then have the db created and available

then restart CFMX
