Jillian, you need to compile postgres with Java support. I think postgres 7.2.2. (the latest stable release) builds a JDBC verison 2 driver by default, and you ideally need JDK 1.3 (the driver won't build with 1.4)
check the official docs at: http://jdbc.postgresql.org/doc.html here's what to do next: http://spike.oli.tudelft.nl/jochemd/index.cfm?PageID=15 if you don't fancy compiling postgres from source, just grab the binary driver & follow the instructions. I wouldn't recommend installing directly on Linus though - he might not be too happy about that ;-) regards, Ben -----Original Message----- From: Jillian Carroll [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: 13 September 2002 03:12 To: CF-Linux Subject: Installing PostgreSQL on Linux w/MX Is anybody around tonight that has installed PostgreSQL on Linus with CFMX? ______________________________________________________________________ Get the mailserver that powers this list at http://www.coolfusion.com ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/cf-linux%40houseoffusion.com/ To Unsubscribe visit http://www.houseoffusion.com/index.cfm?sidebar=lists&body=lists/cf_linux or send a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with 'unsubscribe' in the body.
