Hi,

Has anyone out there had any luck creating a datasource for DB2 on Linux?
I've been following this thread:
http://webforums.macromedia.com/coldfusion/messageview.cfm?catid=6&threadid=
445257&highlight_key=y&keyword1=db2
(and others), and saw this note in the latest release notes:

"You must add the following line to the connectstring for a DB2 Data Source
Name (DSN) (under Advanced Settings in the ColdFusion Administrator):
    CollectionID=default;packageName=<pkgname>;CreateDefaultPackage=false
.... more (issue 36798)"

but so far I'm at a bit of a loss. I'm fairly adept at setting up DB2
datasources for CF5, but CFMX seems to be a different animal. I've got a
DB2 client (alias) successfully set up on the MX server, and have
experimented a bit with the above mentioned suggestions, but so far, no
luck. I'm not even sure if the CollectionID note above refers to the driver
that ships with MX, or an IBM JDBC driver.

Has anyone gotten this to work yet?

Thanks,

Nikki
