Nobody has any ideas at all? Is there any information on what these sockets are used for?
---------------- I've got a coldfusion/apache setup that hangs on a regular basis. Just restarting apache and/or coldfusion fixes the problem for awhile, but this isn't a great "solution"... I noticed the other day that periods of very slow website performance coincide with a lot of (local) open sockets to /tmp/cfserver. Normally, these slowdowns are temporary (sometimes due to database slowsowns, etc) and the sockets come and go on a regular basis. But when the webserver hangs, there are nearly as many file descriptors open as there are apache processes, the database server is fine, and the sockets they won't go away without a cf/apache restart. Any insight into what's going on? Things I should be looking for in the code or server conf? Is this info even relevant at all?
