Yep we had that problem back in CF5 days. When client variables inflated the registry to ~8mb (solaris), the app server exploded, unresponsive.

I forget the exact number...) Once the registry hit that size, CF would just hang or serve pages up at a crawl on startup and at somewhat regular intervals. I had to manually clean up the registry file on a weekly basis to prevent serious site slowdowns.
