I normally use Windows as my chosen platform for development. However, if I
went Linux I'd probably take a look at using jedit. Here's an interesting

I'm still using CF Studio 4.5 on windows for development work (purely hand
coding) and would like something similar on a linux workstation (esp. with
colour coding).
