That was exactly it, I changed the ownership and permissions and it all
works perfectly now!

  My first guess is that the user that ColdFusion is running under doesn't
  have write permission to the Mail and/or Mail/Spool directory.  I'd check
  into that first.  Maybe it was a mishap during the install or an error
  on admin's part.  Let me know how you make out.
