Hello all, I'm trying to figure this out, wondering if you all could help clear a few things up for me.
Currently we have two development servers, one running Apache HTTP server and the other running Tomcat. We have installed CFMX successfully on the Tomcat server and got it to run But the white paper instructions I got off of Macromedia.com says that all my .cfm files will be stored in the cfusion directory under Tomcat. My administrator tells me that this is not good because they will get deleted when we deploy (???) I'm really ignunt on the whole Tomcat+Apache on Linux thing... I thought we would store the CFM files on the Apache HTTP server, which would forward the requests for processing to the Tomcat server and then the results back to the client. But the point being that CFM files may exist anywhere in the Apache HTTP webserver directory, and when they do, the request for processing is forwarded to Tomcat. What should I tell my admin? Please help :-/ Thanks ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:14:3722 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/14 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:14 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.14 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
