We have had great success with doing this (and running PHP and CF at the 
same time on a single site) though I've heard stories of others who have 
had problems. One thing that we found the hard way was that CFMX 6.1 
doesn't seem to like RedHat Fedora Core 2. RH 9 worked EXTREMELY well 
for us with very few issues.
