Not to jump on this, as I have already asked this question in other
public forums and blogged it, but I have to echo Cam's sentiments. I
still have not however, gotten any sort of explanation.

We are using the multiserver version in production now, and are having
great success with it so far. (I work for a Fortune 100 media
company.)

I don't understand this on three levels:

1) Every other version of CF ships with some sort of boot time startup.

2) If we are to write our own startup scripts, it would be helpful to
at least have some documentation of the preferred or recommended
syntax, or for the documentation to tell us that we need to do this.
Even with access to some serious Linux gurus, it felt odd cobbling
something together. If I have missed documentation of the command line
syntax somewhere on the MM site, please point me to it.

3) A Macromedia representative pointing people to scripts that someone
has "gotten to work" seems a tad slipshod considering the market that
this version would appeal to.

Incidentally, the one thing we find ourselves missing the most is
cfstat, which we can run from the command line on the single server
version and is very helpful for troubleshooting server issues. Is
there some equivalent command line tool for JRun or for the multiserver
version of CF? I looked for documentation of this, but got nowhere.

Thanks

Robert
