I went through this just a month ago... Last time I was able to get it
running. I have SELinux set to permissive. When I try to compile the
connector using the following command:

/opt/coldfusionmx/runtime/jre/bin/java
-DWSConfig.ApacheMagicNumber=20020903:9 -jar
/opt/coldfusionmx/runtime/lib/wsconfig.jar -ws apache -dir /etc/httpd/conf
-bin /usr/sbin/httpd -script /usr/sbin/apachectl

I get this error:
Could not connect to any JRun/ColdFusion servers on host localhost.
Possible causes:
o Server not running
-Start Macromedia JRun4 or ColdFusion MX server
o Server running
-JNDI listen port in jndi.properties blocked by TCP/IP filtering or firewall
    on server
-host restriction in security.properties blocking communication with server

Firewall is completely disabled. Any ideas?
