I run SUSE and have never been able to get the connector script to do  
all of that correctly. The answer is yes you can do all of that  
manually. Or run the connector script and do the things that it  
didn't get right. Also if you have an identical machine that is set  
up correctly you can steal the mod_jrun.so, apache config file, and  
jrun.xml from those (make back ups) and that will get you going.
The "hardest" part is compiling the mod_jrun.so if youre not familiar  
with compiling from source. It sounds like you have the rest in place  
you just need to adjust the jrun.xml and reboot cf.
