my proposals from Feb/07/2006:
> snow_basal_heat_flux, Snow basal heat flux, W m-2
should be
downward_net_heat_flux_at_ground_level_where_snow
* net flux, (downward positive): "downward_net"
* only for the part of gridbox where snow: "where_snow"
* not "in_soil" or "in_snow" but the interface itself
For the other two 'open'standard_names we (Martin Koehler and me) agree
to:
atmosphere_eastward_stress_due_to_diffusion
atmosphere_northward_stress_due_to_diffusion
