Dear Bruno,

We already have the following standard names:
effective_radius_of_cloud_liquid_water_particle_at_liquid_water_cloud_top
effective_radius_of_convective_cloud_liquid_water_particle
effective_radius_of_stratiform_cloud_liquid_water_particle.

For a generic cloud particle that does not need convective or stratiform to be
specified I think we would need a new standard name of
effective_radius_of_cloud_liquid_water_particle with SI units of m. I think we
have not bothered to add 'in_air' in the past because there is not really any
ambiguity that clouds are an atmospheric feature.

Best wishes,
Alison
