Dear Rob,

Mid-december, I asked for the creation of
- mole_concentration_of_nitrite_in_sea_water (mol m-3)
- mole_concentration_of_nitrate_and_nitrite_in_sea_water (mol m-3)

Everyone was in agreement. These two parameters should be added to the next release of the parameter list.

If you need other parameters, even if they respect a standard construction, you should ask for them.

Hello All,

I would like to ask about the inconsistent use of forms for parameters reported in the CF standard names table.  For example, nitrate is listed in moles_of_X_per_unit_mass_in_Y and mole_concentration_of_X_in_Y, whereas nitrite is listed only in mole_of_X_per_unit_mass_in_Y.

Is there a reason a parameter may not be defined in mass_concentration_of_X_in_Y,  but would be in both moles_of_X_per_unit_mass_in_Y  and mole_concentration_of_X_in_Y?

Thank you,

Rob
