Folks: Would like to propose a new standard name for a quantity that will be included in the GOES-R reflectance channels' radiance, and cloud and moisture imagery products. This is not a unique quantity, and has relevance to products generated by other systems, particularly weather satellite systems. standard_name: toa_solar_irradiance_per_unit_wavelength definition: "toa" means top of atmosphere. "solar" indicates contributions from the sun. Irradiance is the radiant power per unit area incident at a surface. canonical units: W m-2 ?m-1 Note the precedence for the form of this standard name was established recently in the thread with subject: [CF-metadata] More canonical units or more standard names? very respectfully, randy
