I agree with Andreas's clarification that it refers to the cloud top. This now
makes quite a long phrase which could be prone to incorrect parsing. What about
geopotential_height_at_volcanic_ash_cloud_top
which is analogous, for instance, to the existing name
air_pressure_at_convective_cloud_top
