Thanks for the further information about this. I see the point of the quantity
but I am unclear how it is used quantitatively. Knowing this might help clarify
how it should be described. In particular, once it has been derived, is it
used as if it were the standard deviation of the derived value? If so, it would
be appropriate to call it a standard error. If not, what interpretation is
given to it, regarding the statistics of the derived value?
