Hi Jim, nice! If anyone is interested in naming/looking up the UDUNITS2 units with URIs, they now exist in simple ontologies in the MMI ORR repository: http://mmisw.org/orr/#so/udunits
Also, know that the current UDUNITS2 release by Unidata includes (admittedly simple) definitions of all the units, that I created some months back in the hope we could represent them in an upcoming version of the ontologies cited above. Jim, you might want to see if you can include that in your browser, you might well beat us to it, to good effect.
