Dear Alison, dear all, Back in September, I suggested the addition of new standard names "geostrophic_eastward_sea_water_velocity" and "geostrophic_northward_sea_water_velocity" (see http://mailman.cgd.ucar.edu/pipermail/cf-metadata/2016/059015.html). There have been quite a few updates of the tables since, but those names are not included yet. Is there anything I could/should do to get them included?
In April, there were also discussions on the inclusion of wave standard names. The height parameters have been included in table v35 in July. But the others (mostly period and direction) are still "under discussion" on the "CF proposal page". Any news on that topic?
