Hi, Thanks for the replies about this. I can see that the sea_water_temperature_anomaly name is submitted at http://cfeditor.ceda.ac.uk/proposal/3672 so thank you for setting that up. Let me know if I can be of any assistance in the discussion on whether there should be a more generic way of representing anomalies in the conventions in the longer term.
