FYI

As far as Standard Names are concerned, what I need is an alert by e-mail (i.e.
without my having to log into something) each time a new proposal/thread is
generated with the option to either follow or ignore

(currently achieved by deleting e-mails without opening on the basis of
subject) that thread.

I have no interest at all how this is achieved technologically.

Cheers, Roy.

For info: at the moment, positings to !GitHub issues are not being
distributed by email, unlike trac postings. The conventions committee is
discussing how to proceed with this. Jonathan

I agree that github is a good option, although I'd like to keep the email list
available for standard name proposals. For some people, having to use github
might be enough of a challenge that they'd simply bypass the process altogether.
