Hi all: Just a quick report on the conference sponsored by ECMWF on "Closing the GRIB/NetCDF gap", just concluded a few days ago.
It was very helpful, I think, both for GRIB and netCDF/CF users, to share our perspectives and look towards standard ways to convert between the two. The main result I think is that we will form an informal and on-going working group to discuss the issues involved, and hopefully meet occasionally as needed.
