I only have one field in the form for the author's first name, and one field for the author's last name. I want the query to get results that match either the authorOneFirstName OR the authorTwoFirstName fields, using the one variable from the form. I don't want it to match authorOneFirstName AND authorTwoFirstName, because then I won't get any results (if someone wants an article with the author "Trevor" there probably won't be too many articles that have both the authorOneFirstName AND the authorTwoFirstName set to "Trevor"). So, that's why I need the parenthesis to set the precedence of the OR statement with the authors.
