Did you even try it? It doesn't have to a directory from the server - it
can be any directory you like, in Wintel or UNIX format.

Try
<cfoutput>#GetDirectoryFromPath("C:\mywork\dir1\dir2\dir3\dir4\system.lo
g")#</cfoutput> and it will work.
