Nick, That long code looks pretty much like a unique ID created by CreateUUID() function and oftentimes people will use those as keys to other tables instead of the standard 'autonumber' acess provides.
Hope this helps. I am attempting to convert an Access System to MySQL - with rather poor results. The original DB was created by a company in London that no longer exists (Microsolv?) and the client is stuck using an Access 97 DB and front end. It also appears that they "coded" some of the DB itself - storing info like {6ED7EA58-DBBF-449C-81AE-96D6F5F6A9EE} instead of "English" or the ID for English. If anyone has any ideas about that, please let me know. That may be a project ender, unless I can find a way to descramble that code. -Nick ****************************************************************************************** The information contained in this message, including attachments, may contain privileged or confidential information that is intended to be delivered only to the person identified above.
